“Battery Swapping is the ultimate solution for LEV (Electric 2-Wheelers & 3-Wheelers). EV-Urjaa has found a simple and effective solution for the same.”

Green Mobility has become the need of society for the sustenance of human life on this planets. It should be taken into consideration from immediate effect.
EV-Urjaa shared its views in the City Pitch session organized by Janhit-Jagran at AIC-Aartech Bhopal.
Mohammad Ansari, who is the union leader of the E-Rickshaw Chaalak Sangh Indore, demand better wages from the vehicle owners, believes there is no change in the social and economic conditions of the drivers. The e-rickshaw available on rent started demanding high rent. The rickshaws are not insured; if any damage is caused, the rickshaw driver has to pay,” he says, estimating that about 80 per cent of e-rickshaw drivers in Indore drive a rented vehicle.
Ansari’s concerns are reflected in the situation of Radheshyam, a middle-aged man who now drives an e-rickshaw. “If I do not pack my rickshaw with eight passengers in one trip, I will not have enough to pay for the rent,” he says. Radheshyam’s owner is replacing the old batteries with Lithium-ion batteries hence thinking of increasing the rent of e-rickshaws. Radheshyam pays a rent of Rs 200 to Rs 400 per day and is left with a meagre Rs 300 every day to manage his family of four. The only comfort for Radheshyam is that he does not need to do much physical labour with the e-rickshaw.
For addressing this kind of issues related to E-Rickshaws, EV-Urjaa, organized a general meeting of all the E-Rickshaw drivers at chiman Bagh ground Indore with Mr. Ansari as the Union leader and formed the E-Rickshaw Chaalak Sangh Indore. Time to follow ups and meetings are being conducted for resolving the problems faced by E-Rickshaw Drivers.
